Tri-University Dinner, Château de Bourglinster, 30-09-2021

On the last day of September, 2021 the three Alumni associations of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge and the London School of Economics gathered at the Château de Bourglinster for a Gala Dinner. This Dinner had been in the making since at least 2019, but had been postponed twice by the Covid-19 pandemic. So it was with great joy that around 90 alumni of the 3 associations assembled for an outstanding evening of excellent food and wines, and the most congenial company.

David Clark, the Chairman of the Oxford Society, whose turn it was to organise the event, provided highly efficient leadership of the evening. Guests included Pierre Gramegna, Minister of Finance of Luxembourg and his wife Sylvie, Dr Hubertus von Morr, the former Ambassador of Germany to the Grand Duché, Fleur Thomas, the British Ambassador, and Jiro Okayama, Ambassador of Japan and his wife Toyoko, the special guests of the Cambridge Society. Dr von Morr , the guest speaker, addressed the gathering with a most interesting and topical talk on “The German Elections: what happens next?”
