Skittles/Keelen at the Café des Bons Amis, 30 September, 2019

2016 at the Pétange International Keelen Centre

The Schueberfouer has closed so we are moving into Autumn. For our first social activity after the summer we are arranging a Skittles (Keelen) Evening together with the Oxford Society at the Café des Bons Amis on Limpertsberg (120, rue Albert Unden  2652 Luxembourg) on Monday, 30 September, starting at 7.00 pm.

In addition to the skittles we will eat supper at the café. At the moment we envisage ordering à la carte, but if numbers exceed the 15 we have provisionally booked for the café may want to offer a more limited choice.

As usual, the evening is open to alumni and their partners, spouses, etc. If you would like to take part, please send  an email as soon as possible so that we can be aware of numbers to secretary@cambridge.lu copied to Nathalie Leyns (nathalie.leyns@live.be) indicating how many you will be.

The last skittles activity we organised with the Oxford Society was great fun, so we look forward to a good participation from the Light Blues!!

Traditional Fish Dinner at the Schueberfouer, 29 August, 2019

Eleven Cantabrigians  with family and friends came together on Thursday, 29 August 2019 at Friture Armand to enjoy the Society’s traditional Fish and Chips. The restaurant maintained its excellent reputation for good food and friendly, competent service, and participants chatted away on every subject imaginable, as well as a few unimagineable! Brexit and the antics of the new Prime Minister only cropped up a few times before being pushed away in favour of more entertaining and enjoyable topics!

This was as always an excellent way to mark the end of the summer holidays and the start of the Society’s autumn programme of events.
